Clean-up:
- We give a head up 5 minutes before clean up time by ringing the bell and getting everyone’s attention.
2) Once we ring the bell, we tell them it is time to stop what you are doing put unfinished art into art boxes. We annouce the goal, which depends on how much time we need. We tell them, “If we can finish before the first song is over you will recieve two kind kid hearts. Or one if the classroom isnt that messy. Announce if there is a mystery item to find. If a child put aways away the myster item they get a special task (something like breakfast helper or line leader)
3) We put on one or two clean up songs. Move around the room asking friends to encourage to keep cleaning.
4) For friends who are having a hard time helping, we give them special cleaning tasks or specific things to clean up, such as “search and rescue” something specific.
